Oak Wine Racks

Coffee Tables

Not long ago we came across some fantastic items that were going to be sold for scrap that we thought could be

Polished section of engine cowling

turned into beautiful items for the home or office – the main item being a number of sections of a Gas Turbine Rolls-Royce Olympus Engine – The is the same engine that was used in the Concorde.  The sections we were able to buy were the ‘marinised versions’ i.e. they had come of an engine that was used on one of the Royal Navy’s ships – This type of engine was used on a number of different type of vessel including the HMS Ark Royal and HMS Invincible Aircraft Carriers – Although Rolls Royce won’t tell me which ship these engine parts came from – We like to think of them as having travelled the world on The Ark Royal before it was decommissioned. Each part is exquisitely made and in true Rolls Royce fashion has the serial number of the engine it came from etched into every single piece, as well as the mark of the man that put it together!
The metal that some of the parts are made from is quite extraordinary in itself – one section is made from ‘Wiggin Nimonic Alloy’ – look it up in Wikipedia its an amazing metal!!

The following two tables are ready and available – for further information please use the contact us page or call us on +44 7881 736729

Mirrors

We have also been luck enough to be able to make a few bespoke mirrors – the one we like best is sold and is currently available from Tetbury Interiors and is made from part of the engine housing of the Rolls Royce Olympus Engine :-

The casing has been highly polished – but we left the outer section in its raw clean state due to the fact that that’s where the serial number has been engraved :-

The following mirrors are also available and were made when we found a stash of old tennis rackets in my partners mothers loft – she’d never played tennis in her life so we’re not sure why she had so many in her loft!
